Well this is nice.
About a week ago I received a notification that I had been nominated for an award. An award that looks like this:
.
And well.
As it turns out.
I won (:
.
.
I’m very happy, and really incredibly grateful for the nod of appreciation and respect of my fellow bloggers. I’d like to thank one blogger in particular, J.E. Lattimer, for his loyal following, nomination for this award, and genuine ability to produce incredible work while appreciating other’s work as well. You should check out his eccentric and thought-provoking art below!

Now, as standard protocol for receiving the “Lovely Blog Award”, I must share 7 secrets about myself. And furthermore, I will nominate 15 other bloggers that I think also deserve to be recognized for their exceptional content, writing and devotion to the commitment that is known as a blog.
.
So first:

So while I’m here. You know, appreciating people and shiza. I’d like to give a special thanks to all of my readers in and out of the blogging world. The facebook loyalists, twitter devotees, e-mail subscriber superstars, fellow bloggers, anyone who has shared my work and/or anyone who reads my work at all. Don’t care if you read it out loud, on the weekend, or in secret. The fact that you read it at all? Well, it’s the reason I write at all. If I’ve made you laugh a little more , or think about things a little bit differently – Then I’m doing my damn job. Thanks for helping me get one step closer to my writing dreams. If you didn’t know that before, I hope you do now.
Now for something less serious. Like a picture of these dueling lobsters:
Congratulations on the win!
Thank you for the nod and, more importantly, thank you for the slew of new things to read when I should be…nah…I should be reading.
Have you ever considered that Secret #1 and #2 might be related? I think it’s time for a little exploration that may lead to discovery of super-natural lineage, an ancestral blood feud and, potentially, hopefully, other-worldly powers.
Absolutely! You deserve to have recognition for the hard work that you put into your passion and furthermore, how great the outcome really is!
True news, I have never considered the first 2 secrets to be related. Touche. I believe this calls for some research. Shall report back with my results.
In the meantime, thanks again so much for reading (:
Thank you and congratulations to you 🙂
Thank you so much for the recognition!!!! What a great award – I loved reading your 7 secrets. 🙂
Congrats! You deserve it!
I’m flattered to be included in your nominee list, partially because I’m a little obsessed with your creative voice. I wouldn’t call it stalking, exactly. Just … appreciating … attentively. Totally not creepy.
Stalk…appreciate…attentively as much as you damn well please Kim! You were one of the very first people to come to mind when I thought of this award. Totally not creepy…
Congratulations…thanks so much for sharing this with me :).
I think I remember that bowling break-up! haha, funny!
Hahahaha of all the memories you have of me, I’m glad that that is one of them. Thanks for reading Joe! Hope all is awesome with you.
I loved reading your secrets 🙂 and thank you for nominating me!
Congrats and great list of secrets 🙂
Thanks very much for the nomination, very kind of you. Have a nice day!
Thank you Olive this is very sweet of you! But you know what wasn’t sweet of you? Stealing those M&Ms from that homeless person.
Except to be honest, the part that puzzled me the most was… you bought some M&Ms from a homeless man? Why was a homeless man selling M&Ms? Was he setting up a new business selling second hand M&Ms? Is this a thing now? How have I missed seeing all these entrepreneurial homeless M&M salesmen???!!!
Oh Debbiedoesdoodles,
I have to say, the homeless in New York City are a totally different breed of homeless. They sell all sorts of things. Stolen sweaters, jewelry, cats, fruit snacks, peanut M&Ms etc. Quite the productive, quite illegal, and quite successful. Thanks to people like me. Haha.
CATS!! Wow, I feel so sheltered. Thanks for the education! One time in Edinburgh I accidentally gave a homeless guy a button (I thought it was a coin) and he gave it back to me. No imagination. He could’ve exchanged it for some livestock or something. Or sold it as a ‘magic button’. To be honest, I would probably buy a magic button if someone tried to sell it to me – because what if it was true, and you just turned down the opportunity to buy a magic button???
What an outrage! He indeed didn’t know what he was missing out on. Oh well, more magic buttons for you. And if you have any spare…send them this way…
